Charley Ellerbe (Ornette Coleman and Prime Time) / Philadelphia 1997 Kiyoshi first played with Charley Ellerbe in 1990. Charley introduced Kiyoshi to a new world of group improvisation that he expanded from the experience playing with Ornette Coleman.

In 1997, he was awarded a scholarship from renowned Berklee College of Music as a result of "U.S. Scholarship tour" audition, and started to study Jazz Composition. At Berklee, he's also a member of "Dean's Club".

Jazz Great, Mr. Wayne Naus. It was one of Kiyoshi's life long dreams to play with Buddy Rich Orchestra's horn players. Mr. Naus is not only a great musician but also very generous person. He helped Kiyoshi to premiere his original compositions at Berklee Performance Center in Boston (October, 2000).

Mr. Dino Govoni (Instructor / Berklee College of Music) He also helped Kiyosh to premiere his original compositions with harricane-like Tenor Sax solo and lyrical flute solo at Berklee Performance Center in Boston (October, 2000).
Mr. Paul Stiller (Assistant Professor / Berklee College of Music) He also helped Kiyoshi to premiere his original compositions with great singing, beat box, and story teller-like synthesizer solo at Berklee Performance Center in Boston (October, 2000) He is a co-founder of a cappela group Vox One and was Kiyoshi's ear training teacher at Berklee.
